What is Passover?
The Jewish 8 day spring festival. It commemorates the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt. By following the rituals of Passover, Jews have the ability to experience and relive the freedom gained by their ancestors.
It is traditional to gather on the first two nights for a "Seder".This is a special dinner where the story of the Exodus from Egypt is retold.

Nearby, the Chabad Jewish Community Center of Bucktown & Wicker Park is holding a public Seder on April 3 at 6:45pm.

10th Anniversary Bash!

~10th Year Anniversary Bash~

As we celebrate our 10th year in the Wicker Park/Bucktown neighborhood we would like to invite everyone to our anniversary celebration, Saturday March 7th from 2-8pm! Visitors will enjoy a wide variety of food from Tapenade to Baby Back Ribs, as well as a chance to enter a raffle to win a free night's stay.

Feel free to BYOB.

Exciting: We now have custom buttons :)

The story behind our Ray-morphing-into-goat poster:
Chicago has the largest Polish population outside of Warsaw, and during the early 20th century, what is now known as Bucktown was a prominent Polish neighborhood.  Residents would leave their goats in their yards, and since a male goat is called a "buck" the area became know as Bucktown.
Every year the Bucktown Art Fest Committee creates a poster to commemorate that year's fest, all of which have become collectibles.  Keeping in line with that tradition, Ray wanted to celebrate our tenth anniversary by crafting a poster of our own.

Posters will be available free of charge at the party.
