SPOOKY! in Wicker Park

Tomorrow night (October 18th, 2015) at the Actor's Studio in Wicker Park, catch a free screening of The Haunting.

In an old New England house believed to be haunted, an ESP researcher enlists the help of two mediums to join the skeptical owner in the hopes they can learn more about the source of the house's evil reputation. From the moment they walk through the door, things take a turn for the worse. Make sure your seat is comfortable because you'll be spending most of this nail-biting movie seated on its edge. Starring Emmy and Tony-winner Julie Harris (TV's "Knots Landing," "Gorillas in the Mist"), Claire Bloom ("Crimes and Misdemeanors") and Oscar-nominee Russ Tamblyn ("Seven Brides for Seven Brothers," "Peyton Place"). Directed by Academy Award-winner Robert Wise ("The Sound of Music," "West Side Story," "Star Trek - The Motion Picture"). Leonard Maltin gives it 3 1/2 stars and warns, "Don't see this one alone!"

Head over to 2040 North Elston at 8pm.

Welcome to the Neighborhood BAOCOS!

BAOCOS:  [bow-kohz] A fusion of words meaning tacos, Bao buns and much more.  Fresh fusion of foods and flavors through house made pressed-to-order tortillas and Asian Bao bread made into delectable steamed tacos.  With proteins that are fire cooked daily, this is going to be a hard one to resist!

Located across the street from the Western Blue line "El" station, Baocos is only a ten minute walk from Ray's Bucktown B&B. Which means after a long day of exploring Chicago, you can conveniently take the train home, and grab a delicious protein snack on the way.

Banana Split!

Three scoops of ice cream. Whipped cream. Nuts. And a river of rich, bittersweet hot fudge. To many, that's heaven in a white clamshell dish. A venerable Chicago institution known far and wide, Margie's Candies has delighted young and old with our homemade sundaes, shakes and hand-dipped candies for more than 90 years.

Located a short ten minute walk away from Ray's Bucktown B&B, a good ice cream Sundae is never out of the question when staying at Ray's!

Hot Dog Institution Resurrected By Local Fried Chicken Restaurant

Hot Doug's was a Chicago staple, until they closed their doors a year ago. After mounting the loss of our beloved hotdog shop, known for it's duck fat fries and creative combos, local business, Honey Butter Fried Chicken has decided to pay tribute to the institution with a sandwich. "The Doug Sohn" will feature fried chicken with Green River pickled shallots, Half Acre beer mustard, celery salt, pickled Fresno peppers, and cherry tomatoes on a poppy seed bun. The sandwich will make it's debut on October 4th, and $1 of the $8 sandwich will be donated to The Shriver Center.

Honey Butter Fried Chicken is located in Logan Square, the neighborhood right next to Ray's Bucktown B&B
